Sharmila Swenson

Sharmila Swenson is the current Director at Treehouse. Sharmila has also previously worked as the Manager Local Government Affairs and Public Policy at Puget Sound Energy from July 2014 to January 2019, the Assistant National Field Coordinator at International Brotherhood of Teamsters from June 2004 to January 2007, the Relationship Development Officer at Treehouse from January 2013 to July 2014, and the Operations Director at Governor-Elect Jay Inslee's Transition Staff from November 2012 to January 2013. Most recently, they worked as the Deputy Chief of Staff / District Director at the Office of Congressman Jay Inslee / 1st Congressional District of Washington from January 2007 to November 2012.

Sharmila Swenson began their educational career as a Program Participant with the Public Affairs Council - Public Policy Institute, where they studied public policy. Sharmila then went on to earn their BA in political science from the University of Washington.
