Nick Wallis

Nick Wallis has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of electronics hardware engineering. Nick started their career in 2000 as a Senior Engineer at GSI Group, and subsequently held roles at Baxall Ltd. and Pixim Inc. as a Principal Engineer and Manager of Systems Engineering, respectively. From 2012 to 2020, Nick operated as an Independent Contractor, completing assignments for various organizations such as Alstom Grid, CSE-Servelec, Petards Group, and Tunstall Healthcare. During this time, their responsibilities included business requirements analysis, hardware and firmware design, project management, and product validation and testing. In addition, they worked as a Hardware Engineer on a contract basis for GE Grid Solutions, Servelec Technologies, and eoSemi Ltd. More recently, since 2020, they have been employed at Tribosonics as an Embedded Software and Electronics Design Engineer.

Nick Wallis has an education history that includes attending Sheffield City Polytechnic from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electronic Systems & Control Engineering. Prior to their time at Sheffield City Polytechnic, they earned a BTEC Diploma in Computing Technology from Macclesfield College of Further Education, which they attended from 1986 to 1988.

In terms of additional certifications, Nick Wallis has obtained a Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) certification from IPC in September 2018.
