James is the founder and CEO of Trillium Technologies, a systems design and engineering contractor that works with mission partners to tackle challenges in areas such as ocean, climate, and space. James is also the founder of Frontier Development Lab, an applied research accelerator that develops applications using narrow AI for planetary defense, heliophysics, and lunar prospecting. James recently founded SpaceML, which focuses on AI innovations for space exploration. James co-founded Imaginals, a consultancy that supports organizations in systems innovation for sustainability and social impact, and Open Space Agency, which aims to engage citizen space explorers globally. James was also a co-founder and investor in Fair Knowledge, a social business that celebrated diversity for tackling global issues through ground-breaking Cineforum conferences. Earlier in their career, they worked as FOUNDER/MANAGING DIRECTOR in social business SCI TV producing documentaries, and as a project leader at IDEO working with corporations such as Nestle, T-Mobile, Ubisoft, and Nokia. James was also a co-founder of Opal Labs and a co-founder of The League of Intrapreneurs.
James Parr obtained a Bsc in BioMedicine, with a focus on Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from Birkbeck, University of London between 2005 and 2009. Additionally, James obtained a Diploma in VCD (Design and Visual Communications) but it is unclear when and where they obtained this degree. James also received a Certificate in Molecular Biology from Birkbeck, University of London, but the month and year they obtained this certificate are unknown.
