Stephen Blasdell has over a decade of experience in credit risk management and quantitative finance. Currently serving as Head of Credit Policy and Governance at Truist since June 2012, Stephen is responsible for developing and managing the bank's credit risk strategy and portfolio limits for a loan portfolio exceeding $275 billion, collaborating with various stakeholders including executive and line of business management. Prior to Truist, Stephen held the position of Vice-President in Global Markets Structuring at Deutsche Bank, where responsibilities included providing customized interest rate solutions and assessing counterparty credit risk. Stephen began a career in actuarial science as an Associate Actuary at Towers Watson, focusing on actuarial valuations for Fortune 500 clients. Stephen earned a Master's degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from North Carolina State University.
