Melissa Margain, CDVS-II, currently serves as the Public Defense Administrator for the City of Bellevue, Washington, where responsibilities include leading initiatives to enhance public defense systems and improve client outcomes while collaborating across departments to align with city-wide equity and justice goals. Additionally, Margain holds positions as Deputy Director and Membership Director for the Seattle Chapter of the Truman National Security Project, Board Member for Region III of the Selective Service System, and Model City Mentor for Women Veterans ROCK!. Margain is also a Member of the Board of Directors for Path with Art and Founder & Chief Signing Agent at K3 Signing Services. Previous experience includes the role of Resilient Communities Policy and Community Engagement Manager for King County, WA, and Seattle Program Director for Minority Veterans of America, as well as Director of Reentry for The Last Mile, focusing on empowering program participants in their career development.
