Miranda Shum is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative research and investment strategies. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Quantitative Researcher at Two Sigma since September 2011, Miranda previously held various roles at Goldman Sachs from February 2006 to August 2011, including Vice President and Analyst Developer for the GSAM Liberty Harbor Fund, GSAM Quantitative Investment Strategies, and GSAM Core Trading, as well as Developer Analyst in Market Risk Technology. Earlier experience includes a position as Programmer Analyst focused on Fixed Income Credit Derivatives Trading at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter from July 2004 to January 2006. Miranda holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Columbia University (2012-2015), an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business (2007-2010), and a BASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo (1999-2004).
