Jani Kappi has extensive work experience in the field of positioning technology. Jani started their career in 2002 at Nokia, where they held the position of Principal Engineer for over a decade. In 2013, they transitioned to the role of Senior Architect, specializing in positioning technology. Jani joined Microsoft in 2014 as a Senior Engineer and Positioning Lead, where they worked until 2015. Jani then moved to HERE, where they initially served as the Lead Engineer for HD Automotive Positioning Solutions before becoming the R&D Lead for Positioning Advanced Development. Currently, they work at u-blox as a Principal Research Engineer.
Jani Kappi earned a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Tampere University of Technology between 1996 and 2001. In addition, Jani has obtained various certifications in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, and cloud computing from LinkedIn and FITech Network University between 2020 and 2022.
