Josh Gottheimer has been serving as Congressman for New Jersey's 5th District since January 2017. Prior to this role, Gottheimer was a candidate for Congress from October 2015 to January 2017. With a diverse background in communication and strategy, Gottheimer held significant positions at Microsoft as General Manager of Advertising and Strategy, and at the Federal Communications Commission as Senior Counselor to the Chairman, advising on various policy and legal issues. Additionally, Gottheimer was an Executive Vice President at Burson-Marsteller, and worked in strategic communications at Ford Motor Company. Earlier in their career, Gottheimer contributed to presidential campaigns by providing speechwriting and policy advisory services. Gottheimer holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, a Bachelor of Arts in American History from the University of Pennsylvania, and also studied at the University of Oxford.
