Maria Pia Bazzano, FRM, is an experienced professional in credit methodology and risk management. Currently serving as an Executive Director at UBS since October 2013, Maria Pia leads the Pillar 1 team focusing on counterparty credit risk exposure methodology. Previously, Maria Pia held roles as Director in Credit Methodology, overseeing IMM and RepoVaR model maintenance and regulatory modeling initiatives, as well as managing credit exposure and portfolio valuations. Earlier roles included risk specialist positions at the Bank of England and the Financial Services Authority, as well as associate roles in asset management and equity derivatives at Nemesis Asset Management, Nomura, and Lehman Brothers. Maria Pia holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and pursued further education at Università Bocconi.
