Carmen Vroonen

Carmen Vroonen is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and public affairs. Currently serving as the Global Head of Internal Communications and Head of Strategic Corporate/Internal Content at UCB since October 2021, Carmen previously held the role of Global Head of Communications and Public Affairs at Galapagos from February 2019 to October 2021. Carmen's career also includes significant positions at Bayer, where responsibilities included Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Benelux from February 2011 to January 2019, and at Hill+Knowlton Strategies as Director of Corporate Communications. Additional experience was gained at McDonald's Europe, where Carmen served in various roles including Director of Corporate Communications, Senior Manager of External Communications, CSR Manager, and Senior Public Affairs Consultant. Educational background includes an MBA from Vlerick Business School and a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from VLEKHO Business School Brussel, supplemented by studies in Germaanse at Katholieke Universiteit Brussel.
