Lionel van Holle

Lionel Van Holle possesses extensive experience in pharmacovigilance and data analysis, currently serving as Program Lead and Safety Surveillance Lead at UCB since April 2019, where responsibilities include building analytical frameworks for patient safety and developing quantitative signal detection methods. As the founder of OpenSourcePV since September 2019, Lionel provides consulting services for pharmacovigilance data analysis and visualization. Prior roles at GlaxoSmithKline involved senior management as a pharmacoepidemiologist, focusing on signal detection systems and innovative quantitative methods. Earlier career stages included quantitative analysis of vaccine safety at 4clinics and data mining for safety evaluation at GSK. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Statistics and another in Physics from Université catholique de Louvain, along with programming training from Rice University.
