Emmanuel Ntale is a seasoned professional in climate and environmental management, currently serving as the Manager of Climate and Environment at the Uganda Red Cross Society since November 2018. Emmanuel has led innovative programs in response preparedness, including systems for Forecast-based Financing and Cash Transfer Programming, funded by the IKEA Foundation. Prior to this role, Emmanuel worked as a Research Associate at Makerere University Centre for Climate Change Research and Innovations, contributing to research and policy in climate science and its impacts in Uganda. Additional experience includes serving as Youth Program Officer for the USAID Uganda ERICCA Activity and participating in climate initiatives as President of the Makerere University Climate Change Association. Emmanuel holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Natural Resources Management from Makerere University, alongside a Certificate in Impact Based Forecast from the University of Sussex and various other qualifications in public health and sustainability practices.
