Richard Collin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in policy and external affairs. Since July 2021, Richard has served as the External Affairs Director at UKAS. Prior to this role, Richard held various senior positions at BSI from May 2010 to July 2021, including Head of European and National Policy and Principal International Development Manager. Richard's career also includes significant contributions as a Policy Officer at the European Commission from 2004 to 2010 and as a Resident Twinning Advisor for the UK Department of Trade and Industry from 2000 to 2003, where support was provided to Hungary's accession to the EU. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Trading Standards Officer at both Bristol City Council and Avon County Council. Richard holds a BA (Hons) in History from Durham University and a diploma in Trading Standards from the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.
