Umesh Patel

Umesh Patel is a highly experienced professional in corporate relations and business engagement, currently serving as the Senior Director of Corporate Relations at the University of Michigan since March 2003. Umesh has held various leadership roles within the university, including Associate Director of Alliance Management for Corporate Research Alliances and Senior Director of the Business Engagement Center. Prior to this, Umesh worked at Accenture as a Senior Manager from 1993 to 2003 and began a career at Westinghouse Electric Company as a Project Engineer from 1988 to 1992. Umesh holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
