Don Janus

Don Janus serves as the Director of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte since October 2016, overseeing the Engineering Services Group within the Facilities Management Department. Responsibilities include managing the Facilities Condition Assessment Program, energy management, campus infrastructure planning, and the Building Information Modeling process, among others. Prior to this role, Don held positions as a Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager providing design services and project management, and worked as a Project Engineer and Commissioning Engineer at Horizon Engineering Associates, LLP. Earlier experience includes serving as a Fire Protection Engineer at Firemans Fund Insurance Company. Don Janus holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, obtained in 2007.
