John Zino

John Zino is a highly experienced professional in the field of nuclear engineering, currently serving as the Chief Consulting Engineer at GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy International, LLC since June 1999, where responsibilities include leading Gen. IV and advanced plant technology development. Concurrently, John holds positions as an Associate Teaching Professor at North Carolina State University and as part-time faculty at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College, where instruction covers both undergraduate and graduate-level nuclear engineering courses. Prior positions include Senior Engineer roles at Westinghouse Electric Company and Savannah River National Laboratory, along with a foundational engineering role at General Dynamics. John Zino earned a PhD and Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, following a Bachelor of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University.
