Alok Chakravarty has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Alok started their career as a Senior Project Manager at Planetasia.com Ltd in 2000 and then moved on to become a Project Manager at Indya.com. Alok handled technical operations and was involved in the merger and acquisition of Net2Travel.com with Indya.com. In 2004, Alok joined ZenSutra Software Technologies as the Director of Application Services for a short period. Subsequently, they worked at IBM as an Advisory Project Manager. Alok played a key role in automation projects, implementing smart sourcing strategies, and developing hiring processes. Moving forward, Alok worked as an Assistant Professor at Garden City University, where they were involved in IT project management, business excellence initiatives, and client engagement. Currently, they are working as a Lead SME Data Scientist at UNext Learning.
Alok Chakravarty obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Jobs and Careers in the years 1988 to 1992. Alok then pursued an M Tech degree in Industrial Management and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, from 1993 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Big Data Engineer - Explorer Award in 2019 from IBM and Dataiku Core Designer certification in August 2021 from Dataiku.
