Danielle Trotter

Danielle Trotter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in social protection and humanitarian assistance. Currently serving as a Senior Social Protection Officer at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Danielle works within the Regional Bureau for the East and Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes. Prior roles include Regional Social Protection Advisor at the World Food Programme, where Danielle focused on social protection in East and Central Africa, and Social Policy Specialist at UNICEF, overseeing areas such as gender and local governance. Danielle's earlier career includes significant contributions to the World Food Programme in various capacities, emphasizing protection and gender mainstreaming training, cash and voucher systems, and social safety nets. Additional experience includes managing WASH projects at iDE and academic roles at Monash University, alongside a Master’s degree in International Relations from the same institution.
