Ameya Desai began their career as an Articled Assistant at Shah Gupta & Co. in 2008 and worked in that role until 2012. Ameya then progressed to the position of Senior Manager at the same company from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they joined West End Housing Finance Limited as Chief Financial Officer, where they played a key role in various strategic financial activities until 2022. In 2022, Ameya Desai took on the role of Vice President in the Department of Risk Management at UTI Mutual Fund.
Ameya Desai completed their S.S.C. from St. Sebastian Goan High School in India in 2006. Ameya then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree at H.R. College Of Commerce & Economics from 2006 to 2011. Subsequently, they obtained the Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 2011. Additionally, they hold certifications such as being a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 candidate from the CFA Institute and a Diploma in Information System Audit from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Ameya is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
