Amr Abostait is a current PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto, with research experience focused on lipid nanoparticles for placental transport and fetal gene delivery during a prior role as a research assistant at Unity Health Toronto. Abostait obtained a Master's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba, where research involvement included optimizing lipid nanoparticles. Previous experience includes developing nanofibers and hydrogel-based scaffolds for tissue engineering at the Center of Material Science at Zewail City, following a Bachelor's degree in Nanoscience with a concentration in Nanomedicine from Zewail City of Science and Technology. Abostait completed secondary education at STEM High School for Boys - 6th of October.
