Paul Mitchell is an accomplished finance and corporate development professional with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as Head of Corporate Development at Unitywater since September 2022, Paul also holds the position of President at The Ti-Trees Swimming Club Limited, a community swimming club in Brisbane. Prior to these roles, Paul was Head of Acquisitions and Property at Goodstart Early Learning and Chief Financial Officer at Custodian Funds Management Group Limited. Notably, Paul spent eight years as a Partner at KPMG, specializing in Transactions and Restructuring, and has held senior positions at Ernst & Young and Energex. Educationally, Paul holds degrees including an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Queensland, as well as certifications from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Unitywater provides essential water supply and sewage treatment services to residents and businesses in the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa regions. Every day Unitywater operates and maintains more than $3.4 billion of essential infrastructure, delivers quality drinking water and treats 60 Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of sewage for over 17% of Queensland’s population, spread across 5223 square km. Operations began on 1 July 2010 under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail) Act 2009, as part of the Queensland Government water reform program. Unitywater is governed by an independent Board of Directors. Unitywater is committed to helping prevent and respond to violence against women and is proud to be a White Ribbon Accredited Workplace.
