Joe Wadcan

Joe Wadcan currently serves as the Head of Business Development at Phantom since October 2023 and has been a Lecturer at UC Berkeley since September 2012, teaching courses on 'Intro to Code' and 'Sales for Startups'. As a Founding Partner at Curmudgeon Ventures since January 2020, Joe focuses on early-stage startups with complex technical products. Previous experience includes co-founding Bevy - Eventbot, holding the position of VP Business & Corporate Development at Abstract (acquired by Adobe), and founding Ballotshare.org, a civic tech application. Joe has also held leadership roles in business development at GitHub and served multiple positions at Citi, including SVP, Emerging Communications Manager. Joe holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and a BS from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
