Pilar Manchón

Pilar Manchón PhD is a distinguished professional in the field of AI research and engineering, currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering, AI Research Strategy at Google since October 2019. In addition to this leadership role, Pilar holds several board and advisory positions, including memberships on the boards of Eventbrite, Universal Diagnostics S.A., and the California - Spain Chamber of Commerce, as well as advisory roles with Latinas in Tech and Continuous Ventures. Pilar is actively involved with governmental initiatives as a board member of the Andalusian AI Strategy Council and the National AI Strategy Council in Spain. An accomplished academic, Pilar earned a European PhD in Computational Linguistics from Universidad de Sevilla and has completed graduate studies at institutions such as MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University.
