Mr. Benton joined Universal in 1993 as a production trainee in Saginaw, Texas. He held positions of increasing responsibility there and in Schertz, New Waverly and Houston, Texas and, in February 2008, he was promoted to vice president of operations (South Texas). He was named executive vice president of UFP Eastern Division-North in 2014 and recently promoted to president of the Northern Division in 2017. In 2019, shortly after the announcement of the company re-organization, he was named president of UFP Construction.
