Matthew Sheldon is an experienced professional in the field of computer science, currently serving as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas, where responsibilities include supporting an Introductory Computer Science course. Additional roles include Computer Science Co Director for the University Interscholastic League, focusing on the development of competition materials and judging state-level events, and Computer Science Director for Prosper ISD, managing local competitions. Matthew Sheldon has also completed two internships as a Software Engineer Intern at CrowdStrike, where work involved developing microservices and writing integration tests, alongside prior experience as an Independent Contractor Technician at DMH Technologies, installing IoT devices and upgrading hotel infrastructure. Matthew Sheldon is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, with an expected graduation in December 2024.

The UIL has grown into the largest interschool organization of its kind in the world. The voluntary membership organization exists to provide educational extracurricular academic, athletic and music contests. For more than a century the UIL has helped mold the leaders of tomorrow, and it will continue to do so for the next 100 years.
