Christopher B. Colwell

Christopher B. Colwell, MD, currently serves as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and also holds the position of Professor and Vice Chair in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco since July 2016. With extensive experience in emergency medicine, Christopher held the role of Chief of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director at Denver Health from 1998 to June 2016 and was a Professor and Vice Chair at the University of Colorado during the same period. Additionally, Christopher has contributed as the Medical Director for the International Association of EMS Chiefs since 2000. Christopher earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in Emergency Medicine from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
