Katherine Harmon

Executive Director, Entrepreneur Center at University of Cincinnati

Kate Harmon serves as the Assistant Vice President of the Office of Innovation at the University of Cincinnati since July 2021, facilitating connections between UC talent and regional partners in the Cincinnati Innovation District. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the University of Oregon as the Executive Director and El and Elaine Bourgraf Director of Entrepreneurial Practice at the Center for Entrepreneurship and other positions that fostered cross-campus engagement. Early career contributions include co-founding the Hudson Farmers Market, and various roles in academic settings, notably at Kent State University where Harmon was Associate Director of Blackstone LaunchPad, and at the University of Akron, where responsibilities encompassed student services and teaching. An experienced educator, Kate Harmon has taught art history at multiple institutions and possesses advanced degrees in Art History and Anthropology from Ohio University, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy from Indiana University Bloomington (ABD).
