Daniel Sarkissian has extensive experience in development and fundraising, currently serving as Assistant Vice President for Development, Principal Gifts, and Corporate at the University of Delaware since October 2021. Prior to this role, Daniel spent nine years as Senior Director of Development within the College of Ag and Natural Resources at the University of Delaware and held the position of Associate Director of Development for the College of Engineering at the same institution. Daniel’s career also includes significant roles at Salesianum School as Director of Development and at Oblates of St. Francis de Sales as Director of Planned Giving. Daniel earned an MBA in Marketing from Saint Joseph's University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management/Marketing from DeSales University.

The University of Delaware - a state assisted, privately chartered institution - is a Land Grant, Sea Grant, Space Grant and Carnegie Research University (very high research activity). The University, with origins in 1743, was chartered by the State of Delaware in 1833. A Women's College was opened in 1914, and in 1945 UD became permanently coeducational. The main campus is located in Newark, Delaware, a suburban community of nearly 30,000, situated midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Courses are also offered at the Wilmington campus and at other locations throughout the State, including Dover, Georgetown, Milford, and Lewes.
