Monika Vij

Monika Vij currently serves as a Professor at Miranda House, University of Delhi since March 2023 and has held the position of Associate Professor at Delhi University since January 2011. Previous roles include Post Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Council of Social Science Research from April 2010 to April 2012, where Monika was awarded a General Fellowship to research the Geography of Crime in NCT of Delhi. Monika's academic career began as an Assistant Professor at KIRORIMAL College of Education from July 1997 to June 1998, followed by positions at Dyal Singh College, Delhi School of Economics, and Miranda House. Notably, Monika holds an extensive educational background with a Post Doctorate in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the Indian Council of Social Science Research between 2010 and 2012, along with an MA, MPhil, and PhD in Geography from the Delhi School of Economics, completed in 2005.
