Shawn Alfrey

Shawn Alfrey serves as the Associate Director of the Honors Program at the University of Denver, a position held since 2007, and also mentors Boettcher and External Fellowships. Additionally, Shawn holds the role of Adjunct Faculty in the Department of English, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses. Previous experience includes a position as Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Denver from 2001 to 2003, where undergraduate and graduate courses in American Literature were taught, as well as an earlier role as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Colorado Denver from 1995 to 2000, focusing on Literature and Critical Theory. Shawn Alfrey earned an MA and PhD in English and American Literature from Brandeis University and holds a BA in English and Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder.
