Vid Mlakar

Vid Mlakar is a highly experienced researcher with a focus on biochemical and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at Université de Genève since June 2015, Vid is involved in developing new therapeutic strategies for Neuroblastoma, overseeing research projects and laboratory operations. Prior to this role, Vid held positions at the University of Ljubljana, including Senior Researcher and Assistant Professor, concentrating on genetic factors of osteoporosis. In previous positions, Vid founded a start-up for animal genetic testing at EVG Molecular Diagnostics and worked as a Junior Researcher at the University of Ljubljana, specializing in cancer genetics. Vid's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Master's degree in Microbiology, both obtained from the University of Ljubljana.
