Ana Heitor

Ana Heitor currently serves as the Deputy Director of Student Education for the Taught Postgraduate portfolio at the University of Leeds, where responsibilities include developing and delivering the School of Civil Engineering's learning and teaching strategy. Previously, Ana held various academic roles at the University of Wollongong, including Deputy Director of Postgraduate Research Studies and Academic Program Director for Civil Engineering, with a focus on coursework program leadership and student advising. Ana's research expertise lies in geotechnical engineering, particularly the behavior of compacted materials under varying conditions. With a robust educational background, Ana holds a PhD and MSc in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wollongong and Kyoto University, respectively, as well as a Licentiate degree in Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Early career experiences include roles as a trainee and laboratory technician in geotechnical engineering.
