Professor James Beeson is an accomplished researcher and academic, currently serving as Deputy Director and Head of the Malaria Immunity and Vaccines Laboratory at Burnet Institute, as well as a Professor at the University of Melbourne since 2023. Additionally, James Beeson holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Monash University since January 2012. Professor James's previous experience includes serving as Laboratory Head and Research Fellow at WEHI from 2004 to 2010. James Beeson obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicine, specializing in Malaria and Infectious Diseases, from the University of Melbourne between 1997 and 2001, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSc) in Neurosciences from Monash University.
