Tom Lin

Tom Lin is an Academic Tutor at the University of Melbourne since February 2023, teaching courses in Machine Learning and Applied Data Science. Previously, Tom worked as a Data & AI Analyst at Deloitte, where responsibilities included managing projects related to HyperScalers and Cloud Data within the telecommunications sector. Tom also gained experience as a Summer Vacationer at Deloitte focusing on Advanced Modelling and Machine Learning for manufacturing. Past internships include a Software Engineer Intern position at National Australia Bank, concentrating on Cloud Automation and DevOps, and a Data Science Intern role at PING AN, which involved credit decisioning ML. Tom Lin is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of Melbourne, following a Master’s in Information Technology with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor’s in Finance with a minor in Data Science from Monash University.
