Owen Fenton is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since December 2021, and previously served as an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore from September 2020 to December 2021 in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Fenton's postdoctoral research was conducted at the Langer Lab at the MIT School of Engineering from June 2016 to September 2020, following the completion of a Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the supervision of Professors Robert Langer and Daniel Anderson from September 2010 to June 2016. Fenton also earned a Master’s degree in the Movassaghi Lab at MIT from 2010 to 2012 and a Bachelor’s degree from the College of the Holy Cross, studying under Professor Bianca Sculimbrene from 2006 to 2010.
