Rebekah E. Kates

Rebekah E. Kates currently serves as the Undergraduate Studies Coordinator in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro since February 2021. Previously, Rebekah held roles including Program Coordinator for the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and a temporary Program Coordinator for the African American & African Diaspora Studies Program at the same institution. Rebekah's experience also includes working as a Language and Culture Assistant for the Spanish Ministry of Education, where engagement in bilingual education and intercultural activities was key. Rebekah’s early career included positions as a University Relations Librarian at UNCG and as a Photojournalist for The News & Record. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from UNCG and an Associate of Applied Science in Photographic Technology from Randolph Community College, complemented by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
