Travis Hicks

Travis Hicks, M. Arch., serves as the Head of the Department of Interior Architecture and a Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro since August 2010, also directing the Center for Community-Engaged Design. In addition to his academic roles, Travis Hicks operates Travis Hicks ARCHITECT, focusing on consulting in architecture and interior design. Prior experience includes Senior Design Architect and Associate at O'Brien Atkins Associates, PA, where significant projects encompassed diverse scales and types, including workplace and civic designs. Additional teaching roles were held at UNC Greensboro and NC State, complemented by architectural positions at notable firms such as The Freelon Group and Michael Graves Architecture & Design. Travis Hicks holds an M.Arch. from Princeton University and a BS in Architecture, summa cum laude, from Georgia Institute of Technology.
