Deepansh Mody

Deepansh Mody is a Ph.D. student at the University of Ottawa, researching the structural basis for nicotine affinity to neuronal vs. muscular nAChRs under the supervision of Prof. John Baenziger. Previous experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, where Deepansh managed undergraduate research, collaborated with the University of Lille on protein interactions, and achieved top positions in academic symposiums for research on Covid-19-related cardiac hypertension. Contributions also include work at Purdue University focusing on repurposing drugs to combat Clostridium difficile infections and research across various institutions in microbiology and biochemistry. Deepansh holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Technology in Biotechnology from Jaypee Institute, and a Master of Science in Microbiology from Purdue University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from NIIT University.
