Olivia Coyne is a research engineer at the University of Pittsburgh's Schwerdt Lab, focusing on the role of dopamine in the striatum during categorical learning and responsible for fabricating neural probes for experiments. Currently completing a master's degree in bioengineering with a neural focus at the University of Pittsburgh, Olivia has previously worked as a graduate student researcher at the BIONIC lab under Dr. Takashi Kozai. Prior experience includes coaching youth development and learning to skate with the Pittsburgh Penguins and officiating youth ice hockey games for USA Hockey. Olivia holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Trine University and a high school diploma from Shady Side Academy.
