Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly is a Professor Emeritus and Professor of French at the University of Southampton, where Mike has been involved in research and teaching in French cultural studies and language policy since September 1986. As the Director of the Routes into Languages programme, Mike Kelly has worked to enhance language education from schools to universities through regional consortia collaborations. Additionally, Mike Kelly has served as a Trustee for Speak to the Future, a national campaign promoting language learning in the UK, and has held editorial and board positions with the European Journal of Language Policy and the European Language Council. Previous roles include Director of the LLAS Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies and Rédacteur-en-chef for GERFLINT's Synergies RUI. Mike Kelly's academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Southampton and a B.A. and Ph.D. in French from the University of Warwick.
