Bjarte Hoem

Bjarte Hoem serves as the Director of Academic Affairs at Universitetet i Stavanger (UiS) since February 2011, leading the Education Division with approximately 55 staff across four sections focused on quality, admissions, reporting, and internationalization. Previously, Bjarte held roles such as Head of the International Office and Acting Director of Academic Affairs within the same institution, contributing to strategic development and international education initiatives. Additional experience includes serving as a Local Ambassador for ECIU from January 2014 to December 2022 and various positions related to international relations at both UiS and the University of Bergen, including Senior Executive Officer and University Senator. Bjarte holds an Executive MBA from Universitetet i Stavanger (2016-2019) and a Cand. Mag. in Social Sciences from the University of Bergen (1990-1995).
