Grace Whelan

Grace Whelan is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Strathclyde, focusing on the cardiovascular effects of vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors in combination with immune checkpoint blockade in cancer therapy. Previously, Whelan earned a Master of Science in Immunology and Inflammatory Disease from the University of Glasgow, where responsibilities included serving as class representative and facilitating communication between students and staff. Whelan's early experience also includes roles at Labels4Kids Ltd and the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre, along with significant involvement in athletics, such as coaching with Moray Road Runners and serving as president of the Aberdeen University Athletics Club while holding a Quita Shivas Athletics Scholarship during undergraduate studies at the University of Aberdeen.
