Matthew Angling currently serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey since November 2022. His extensive experience in the space and engineering sectors includes positions such as Head of Research and Innovation, Space at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence from July 2024 to June 2025 and Chief Technology Officer at In-Space Missions Limited from July 2022 to June 2025. Previously, Matthew held the role of Director for Space Weather and Ionospheric Programme Manager at Spire from February 2019 to July 2022, and served as DSTL/RAEng Professor of Space Environment and RF Engineering at the University of Birmingham from April 2014 to January 2019. A Fellow at QinetiQ from October 1993 to April 2014, Matthew has a PhD in Engineering from the University of Leicester (1997-2001) and an MA in Physics from St. John's College, Oxford (1990-1993). Further education includes a program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (2011-2012).
