Patrick Degg

Patrick Degg has extensive experience in leadership and fundraising within higher education and other sectors. Currently serving as Vice-President, Global at the University of Surrey since October 2017, Patrick leads initiatives encompassing advancement, communications, marketing, international student recruitment, and academic partnerships. Prior roles include Vice-President (External Engagement) and Director of Advancement, where notable successes included overseeing major fundraising campaigns. Patrick owns and develops Villa Felicioni, a luxury rental property in Tuscany, and has contributed to various charitable organizations, including the Bounce Back Project and ShareGift. Previous positions include Director of Development at the University of St Andrews, where Patrick spearheaded a £100m fundraising campaign, and a distinguished career in finance at ING and HSBC, focusing on leveraged finance in Asia-Pacific. Patrick holds an MA in Law from the University of Cambridge.
