Deloris Murray Sterling is an experienced educator and academic professional with a diverse background in accounting and education. Currently serving as an Accounting Lecturer and Program Director at the University of Technology, Jamaica since 2017, Deloris also holds positions as an External Examiner and Lecturer at the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean and as an External Examiner for the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica. Prior roles include teaching at St. Mary Technical High and working as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Technology, Jamaica. Deloris Murray Sterling holds an MSc. in Accounting from the University of the West Indies and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Technology Jamaica, with ongoing doctoral studies in Business Administration at St. Thomas University.

The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) is Jamaica’s largest, fastest-growing, non-affiliated private institution of higher education, and is now one of five higher education entities with the accolade of institutional accreditation from the University Council of Jamaica. UCC is also institutionally accredited internationally by the UK-based Accreditation Service for Independent Colleges and Universities. UCC is headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica, with five physical campuses and UCC Online. UCC was formed in 2004, as a result of a merger in 2002 of the Institute of Management Sciences, which was incorporated in 1992, and the Institute of Management and Production, which was incorporated in 1976.
