Dr. Owais Iqbal

Dr. Owais Iqbal is a distinguished Technical Fellow at Stellantis, specializing in virtual engineering with a focus on battery thermal runaway and propagation mitigation since December 2016. With a strong background in thermal and fluid flow systems, Dr. Iqbal has served as a Senior Technical Specialist and technical lead, providing expert guidance on 3D propulsion system simulations and methodologies. In addition to industry roles, Dr. Iqbal is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Windsor, advising graduate students and teaching courses on virtual engineering in automotive systems. Dr. Iqbal's extensive experience includes positions at FCA - North America and significant contributions as a CFD Technical Lead at Chrysler Canada, alongside a solid academic foundation with a PhD and multiple master's degrees in engineering from the University of Notre Dame and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
