Elie Gerschel

Elie Gerschel is a PhD student at the University of Zurich since September 2020, with prior experience as a research assistant at Institut des Politiques Publiques - CREST - Ecole Polytechnique from September 2019 to September 2020, focusing on taxes and political economy. Elie previously worked as a consultant for the World Bank Group from January 2018 to August 2019, engaging in research on taxation, inequalities, and the informal sector in low and middle-income countries. Experience also includes a data scientist intern position at Spella, an analysis project on income mobility for OECD, and a statistician intern role at DGAFP, among other volunteering and consulting roles. Elie holds a Master in Economics and a degree in Statistics and Economics Engineering from ENSAE Paris.
