Principles for Responsible Investment
Duncan Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Duncan began their career as a Consultant at BBS Communications Group in 1998 before moving on to work as a Media Relations Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland in 2000. In the same year, they joined Citi as a Senior Vice President, where they remained for 18 years. In 2018, Duncan joined Macquarie Group as a Senior Communications Manager in the Commodities & Global Markets division. The following year, they took up the role of Head of Press at Principles for Responsible Investment. Duncan later became the Director of CEO Communications & Office, covering a family leave, and is currently serving as the Head of APAC Communications at the same company.
Duncan Smith obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Communication from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) in the field of Business/Corporate Communications in the year 2000.

The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is an investor initiative in partnership with UNEP FI and the UN Global Compact. Founded in 2006 and supported by the United Nations, the PRI has become the leading network for investors demonstrating their commitment to responsible ownership and long-term, sustainable returns. Pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign/development funds, investment managers and service providers make up the PRI network. Our goal is to grow investor interest in environmental, social and corporate governance issues (ESG), share best practice and support signatory needs in their fulfilment of the six PRI Principles.
