Sami Oksa

Sami Oksa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in marketing, sustainability, and communications in the forestry sector. Since June 2017, Sami has served as the Director of Marketing, Sustainability & Communications for UPM Fibres Finland Operations, overseeing the marketing and sustainable practices for UPM Pulp, Timber, and Forest. Prior to this role, Sami held several key positions at UPM-Kymmene Oyj, including Director of Stakeholder Relations for UPM Timber and UPM Forest, where responsibilities included lobbying and communication regarding sustainable forestry in Northern Europe. Sami's career began with a foundation in environmental issues and sustainable development within forestry across Northern Europe, supported by a Master's degree in Forest Management/Forest Resources Management from the University of Helsinki.
