Zane MacCagnano

Principal System Engineer at Urban Sky

Zane Maccagnano is an accomplished aerospace professional with extensive experience in system engineering and design. Currently serving as Principal System Engineer at Urban Sky since June 2025, Maccagnano previously held aerospace engineering roles at Paragon Space Development Corporation and Principal System Engineer at Space Perspective, where significant contributions included the successful first flight of the Flight One system and comprehensive thermal systems design. Maccagnano's career also includes leadership in thermal design for the Gryphon program at World View and major contributions to the ECLS system for the StratEx program at Paragon, which holds multiple world records and is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum. A former Senior Project Engineer at Sargent Controls & Aerospace, Maccagnano has a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman.
